Mercer Cauley

Mercer Cauley focuses exclusively in the areas of business and family based immigration. He has dedicated his practice of law to immigration and nationality law since 2003. Mr. Cauley has been a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Immigration Law since 2014. During these years he has developed creative strategies to assist a range of businesses requiring non-immigrant and immigrant visas for employees. Mercer Cauley has extensively overseen business processes including PERM applications, H1b petitions, EB1 self-petitioners, L1 applications, and E-1/2 investors visas. He has overseen these processes with near 100% success. He has guided many employers through audits and site visits and ensures that the employer is prepared for difficult immigration problems.

Since 2003 Mercer Cauley’s immigration practice has also focused on assisting families and individuals through the confusing and time-consuming process of family based immigration. Mercer takes his passion into each process and ensures that every client is prepared for every step in the process including attending the interviews with his clients. He has participated in a wide variety of immigration matters ranging from employment and family based immigration cases to asylum and denaturalization litigation.

Mr. Cauley is an experienced trial attorney with many years of trial practice in both state and federal courts prior to beginning his practice in immigration. He has used this experience in representing many families before the Immigration Court. He has represented individuals in removal proceedings and for bond determination. He has been successful in representing respondents with application for Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Waivers, and Adjustment of Status before the Immigration Court.

In addition to his legal experience, Mr. Cauley has extensive experience working with nationals from around the world. Prior to practicing immigration law, he acted as a Regional Director for Teen Mania Ministries, an international mission’s organization.
